Timberlane Animal Hospital works closely with Emerald Coast Golden Retriever Rescue. If you, or someone you know, is looking for or considering a Golden as an addition to your family, be sure to check out some of the available Goldens Emerald Coast has in their program. Adopting one of these loving animals is a great experience. Located on Florida's Gulf Coast, Emerald Coast is a group of volunteers who share a common love for Goldens. They find good homes for Goldens who have been abandoned, abused, or surrendered. The geographical area that ECGRR covers is the Florida Panhandle, west of Tallahassee.
Timberlane Animal Hospital is not directly associated with Emerald Coast Adoption. If you are interested in adopting, please contact them directly by clicking on the pet that you are interested in or go to http://ecgrr.com. Thank you!
Adopting a dog is a decision that should not be taken lightly – he or she will be a part of your family for a long time, providing years of enjoyment and wonderful memories. Our goal is to ensure that all our dogs are placed in loving forever homes. Before you go any further, there is some important information you must review. We hope you understand it is important for us to go through some procedural matters prior to submitting your adoption application.
Emerald Coast is always in need of assistance from caring volunteers. Our needs run the gamut from temporary foster homes, to “home checkers” who visit potential adoptive homes to perform premises assessments, to canine chauffeurs who deliver the gold to their appointments.
If for some reason you find it impossible for you to keep your Golden Retriever, please take the time to get in touch with us. Kindly provide us with enough information to insure your pet can be matched with another family who can tend to their specific needs/personality.
We are always in need of funds which we use exclusively in returning these gentle animals to good health and finding appropriate homes. We welcome any amount you can afford. Even a few dollars helps us with our mission. Our 2014 average expenditure on each rescued dog taken into our program was $694, with 90% of the monies being used for medically treating these surrendered and homeless dogs including heartworm treatment and spay/neutering.
